What is the Russian Revolution?
The Russian Revolution of 1917 played a very important role in not only Russian history, but world history as well. The Russian Revolution, also called the Bolshevik Revolution, consisted of two parts. The first part of the Revolution, occurring in February of 1917, was known as the February Revolution. In the February Revolution, Russia was at war with the world in WW1. Food was rare (sources say that people would "kill" over bread), unemployment was high, and inflation was out of control. Obviously, people wanted a new government, which started the February Revolution. The second part of the Revolution, occurring in October of 1917, was known as the October Revolution. After the rules given to the people after the February revolution, new government parties started to rise, all wanting more power. One party in particular, led by the Bolsheviks, led the field, and what happened next is unbelieveable.
